Celebrating our National Merit Semifinalists

In Fall 2025, more than 1.2 million high school juniors at approximately 20,000 high schools across the country took the PSAT/NMSQT, competing for recognition through the prestigious National Merit Scholarship Program. From this impressive pool of students, approximately 16,000 were selected as National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists, placing them among the highest-scoring students in their states. We are proud to share that two YSC Academy students were included in this distinguished group!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Charli Lorenz and John Ruf as two of these outstanding students! This prestigious recognition reflects their academic excellence, dedication, and commitment to their studies. Their achievement is a wonderful accomplishment and a testament to the hard work they have put in throughout their high school careers.

Charli and John are currently completing their scholarship applications as they continue their journey through the National Merit Scholarship Program. In February 2027, they will learn whether they have advanced to the National Merit Finalist level, bringing them one step closer to potential scholarship opportunities.

Join us in congratulating Charli and John on this incredible achievement! We are so proud of their hard work and success, and we look forward to celebrating all that lies ahead. Congratulations, Charli and John! Keep up the amazing work!
