Nick Kueny grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia in Warrington Township and has been a resident of this area ever since. Nick graduated from St. Joseph’s Preparatory School before pursuing degrees in History and Education at the University of Scranton. Prior to joining YSC Academy, Nick began his teaching career as an English Literature teacher at Simon Gratz High School Mastery Charter. There he served as both the department head to a team of 5 upper school English teachers, as well as an instructional coach for incoming teachers.

At YSC Academy, Nick has created a robust humanities curriculum that provides students an opportunity for an interdisciplinary approach to the study of history and literature. Nick hopes to continue to push students to develop the requisite skills and to spark the passion to continue a life of learning.
