Ryan Mooney serves as the Executive Chairman for YSC Academy, where he helps guide the school’s strategic direction, governance, financial sustainability, and continued growth. With more than 15 years of leadership experience across education, sports, and private equity, Ryan brings a strong understanding of how mission-driven organizations can build the structures,partnerships, and resources needed to thrive.

In his leadership role at YSC Academy, Ryan works closely with the Head of School, Board of Trustees, and senior leadership team to advance the school’s mission and long-term strategic priorities. His work includes supporting fundraising, fiscal oversight, institutional planning, and organizational development while helping ensure that YSC Academy remains an innovative and sustainable educational environment for elite student-athletes.

He previously served as the Managing Director of Sports and Education at Striker Partners, a private family-office investment firm focused on sports, media, business services, and healthcare, overseeing a portfolio that included numerous soccer-centric businesses. Before that, he spent more than a decade with U.S. Soccer, ultimately serving as Chief Soccer Officer and leading strategy and operations across the organization’s sporting departments. Ryan brings an entrepreneurial mindset, strategic perspective, and deep commitment to mentorship to his work at YSC Academy. He is dedicated to helping the school remain financially strong, mission-focused, and positioned to provide student-athletes with an exceptional academic and developmental experience.
